Packaged and shipped

How are your products packaged for shipment?

Beligion ensures all products are carefully packaged for secure delivery. Typically, items are shipped in paper or plastic mailers or sturdy cardboard boxes, depending on the product type and shipping needs.

Whenever necessary, protective materials such as clear mailers, tissue paper, foam pouches, or bubble wrap are used to safeguard items from scratches or damage. Packaging materials may vary by location and availability, with options including recycled, partially recycled, or virgin materials.

The most frequently used packaging material at our logistics and fulfilment partner facilities is post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic mailers. For multi-item orders, each product is first placed in an individual transparent polymer bag, and all items are then grouped into a larger PCR mailer.

PCR plastics are crafted from everyday recycled items like plastic bags and bottles. Many of these materials come from recycled shopping bags and wrapping films. The amount of PCR used varies between fulfillment locations, with outer poly mailer bags containing at least 50% PCR and inner clear bags containing at least 30% PCR for multi-item shipments.

As of May 2022, our logistics and fulfilment partner, began transitioning to packaging with 90%-100% PCR plastic content for apparel products fulfilled at its in-house North American facilities.

Below is a detailed overview of how we package different product categories:

Apparel and Textiles

Clothing and textile items like towels, blankets, and pillowcases are generally shipped in PCR polymer mailers. Multi-item orders are individually bagged in transparent polymer bags and then consolidated into a larger PCR mailer.

For orders fulfilled in Australia, compostable eco mailers are used, featuring the supplier’s name and composting instructions. Items produced in Japan and China are shipped in plastic mailers.

Hats

Structured hats are shipped in corrugated cardboard boxes for added protection. Beanies, like other apparel items, are sent in PCR polymer mailers.
Home & Living Products

Smaller sublimated home textile items are typically packed in PCR mailers, while larger or oversized orders are shipped in cardboard boxes.

Mugs, tumblers, water bottles, and similar drinkware are secured in cardboard boxes. Beauty products such as body washes and lotions, as well as puzzles from partner facilities, are also shipped in recycled cardboard boxes.

Stationery

Stickers are packaged in kraft envelopes or resealable plastic bags with flat inserts, depending on the shipping location. Greeting cards and postcards are similarly packed in kraft envelopes.

Journals are shipped in flat paper mailers, while notebooks and calendars are packaged in cardboard boxes for protection.

Wall Art

Canvases and framed posters are secured in cardboard boxes, with dimensions ranging from 12 × 18 × 2 inches to 28 × 38 × 6 inches.

Framed posters are first wrapped in tissue paper to prevent scratches and then further protected with adhesive bubble wrap or foam pouches. Posters are shipped in triangular kraft boxes to minimize damage and avoid using plastic caps. In some regions, small posters (8 × 10 inches) are sent in stay-flat envelopes, while orders from Australia are packaged in cylindrical cardboard tubes.

Other Decor

Small accessories and home decor items are shipped using well-tested partner facilities. Large items, such as metal prints, are packaged in cardboard boxes, while smaller products like pin buttons and magnets are sent in paper mailers.

Tech Accessories

Phone cases are packed in paper mailers in most locations, while facilities in Japan use a mix of plastic bags and padded paper envelopes.

Gaming mouse pads are securely packed into corrugated cardboard boxes.
